Evaluate GL Wand on our online vision instance |
1. Install GL Wand add-in on PC. |
Unzip the downloaded file and double click GL Wand.msi. This will install the GL Wand add-in on your PC and launch Demo.xls. |

2. Log into our online Oracle Vision instance using the internet. |
Log on to our hosted Vision server. The install should have created the connection (http://visionjhb1.excel4apps.com/pls/VIS) and you should have received an e-mail with your unique user name and password. |

2.1 Refresh sample sheets, Drill to detail; learn GL Wand functionality with provided tutorial. |
Using Demo.xls, and the instructions in the “Example Report” and “Tutorial” sheet spend some time experimenting and learning. |

Evaluate GL Wand trial on your own Oracle instance |
3. Install GL Wand server component on your Oracle 11i development database server. |
From the options form click “Mail” to send instructions and the installation script to your DBA. |

4. Create a new connection in the GL Wand pointing at your server. |
Enter the applications web agent URL and a name for your connection. Use the wizard in the options form to test the connection. |

5. Login to your own set of books data and start building reports. |
Experience a faster connection to your server, and see your own Set of books data. Using your own user name and password and GL Wand skills learnt in the Tutorial, login and start building your own reports. Use the report wizard button to build a sample to learn from. |

6. Request a full use trial key for your instance. |
While logged into your own instance, click the about box and click the ”Trial Key” button, this will request a full use key from excel4apps.com. |

Purchase and fully deploy GL Wand software. |
