As Managing Director, Richard uses his 20 years of sales, marketing and operations experience with top-tier enterprise software vendors and technology startups to guide the European business interests of Excel4apps. Prior to joining Excel4apps, he was Sales Director at Dassault Systemes, the second largest software vendor in Europe, focusing on implementation of global diversification strategy.
Richard was also Head of EMEA Sales at Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting, where he was responsible for all regional sales activities and establishing the ONESOURCE suite of products as the market leader among tax and finance professionals. Additionally, as Global Sales Director at NetNames, now owned by CSC, he helped established the company as the market leader in online brand protection services, growing revenues from zero to £16m.
Richard is a certified coach and also holds a BA (Hons) degree in Economics from the University of Sheffield. In the past, he has traveled extensively, taking part in activities as varied as canoeing in the Amazon, trekking in the Atacama and wine tasting in Argentina. However, life is spent a little closer to home these days with his wife and two children in London, where he enjoys football and a quiet pint.
